Department of Microbiology, Tumor and Cell Biology (MTC) at Karolinska Institutet conducts research and teaching in immunology, infection biology, cell biology and cancer. Key words are multidisciplinary, bridging, translational, national and international collaborations.

This is a short-term employment in the research group of Martin Rottenberg. The Rottenberg laboratory is located in the Biomedicum building, one of the flagships of the Karolisnka Institutet where interactions within several biomedical research groups occur.

Your mission

You will contribute to investigation that aims to understand and harness the infection with Mycobaterium tuberculosis, the causative agent of Tuberculosis, by characterizing cellular immune mechanisms of protection against infection.

Your profile

You should be a Bachelor in Biomedicine, and be acquainted with flow cytometry, handling of rodents, experienced in BSL3 agents/ experimental models of infection, and with a profound interest and understanding in the regulation of T cell responses.
