We are looking for a bioinformatician to strengthen our bioinformatics team. The position is a unique and exciting opportunity for those who want to work with precision medicine and genomics in advanced research and there is scope to adapt the job based on your competences and areas of interest. The Clinical Genomics unit is a national research infrastructure at the Science for Life Laboratory (SciLifeLab). Our mission is to contribute to the implementation of precision diagnostics and precision medicine in Sweden. Together with researchers and healthcare providers in Sweden, we perform advanced genomics analyses (large-scale DNA sequencing) and work to develop and implement the advanced tests in healthcare. The aim is to facilitate world-leading research and to ensure that diagnostics in Sweden are at the cutting edge, internationally.
Our team consists of about 40 employees with broad expertise in genomics, bioinformatics, software development, IT and quality assurance. We have a technical infrastructure for advanced and high-capacity genomics analyses. The bioinformatic workflows and tools we develop are open source (https://github.com/Clinical-Genomics/).
