As a Researcher you will be responsible of ongoing research project at the Unit of Toxicology lead by Professor Joseph related to the epigenetic control of microglia activation in the context of glioblastoma brain tumors. Duties includes design and execution of experimentation related to the project, management of contact with collaborators involved in these investigations, supervision of PhD student(s), reporting in term of oral presentation and research article, as well as application to funding agencies to secure financial support. The employment is permanent.
A person is eligible to be appointed Researcher if he or she has been awarded a Degree of Doctor or has achieved the corresponding scientific competence, as well as documented research after publicly defending his or her doctoral thesis corresponding to qualification as Assistant professor. You have an established scientific profile in the fields of microglia and glioma biology as well as proven record of in the investigation of epigenetic mechanisms. It is required for the successful candidate to have extensive practical research experience of various methods to study microglia and glioma biology as well as expertise in epigenetic techniques. You are team player, and have demonstrated the ability to drive collaborative work and to implement new research projects in the lab.
An expert assessment of the applicant's skills will be obtained from at least one external expert.
