We are currently looking for a postdoctoral researcher who will be working on several research projects in two research groups. One lead by Richard Bränström with a focus on inequalities in health and minority stress and one lead by professor Agneta Herlitz focusing on cognition and sex differences. The position entails participation in, planning, and conducting research studies that aim to identify risk factors and mechanisms of mental health, and studies of sex differences in cognition. The post-doctoral associate will be based at the Division of Psychology, Department of Clinical Neuroscience, Karolinska Institutet. The postdoctoral researcher will mainly work with statistical analysis, manuscript writing, and grant applications. The appointment is for one-year and could potentially be extended. The successful candidate will be a part of a productive and dynamic research environment and work closely with the study team to:
Applicants should have a PhD in psychology, social epidemiology, sociology, or an allied discipline. The successful candidate must have experience in register and survey-based epidemiological research as well as data management and analysis using, e.g., SAS, STATA, SPSS, Mplus, or R. Experience of working with nationwide Swedish registers is highly desired as well as previous research in cognitive psychology or health psychology. Excellent English skills and basic knowledge of Swedish is a requirement. The work involves close collaboration with others and demands flexibility and good cooperation skills.
Qualified to be employed as a postdoctor is one who has obtained a doctorate or has equivalent scientific competence. Applicants who have not completed a doctorate at the end of the application period may also apply, provided that all requirements for a completed degree are met before the (intended) date of employment. This must be substantiated by the applicant's main supervisor, director or equivalent.
