At the unit of Integrative Toxicology our research concerns areas that are central to toxicological risk assessment, from the perspectives of exposure and chemical risks within the population and in the working life. Exposure and effects are studied in advanced cell systems in vitro as well as in studies with volunteers. Furthermore, the unit's research includes various applications of modelling, risk assessment and prevention.

Your mission

You will work with two different research projects, entailing chemical analysis of metals using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry and skin penetration and absorption studies using in vitro models. You will be expected to document all steps of your work in the electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) in accordance with good laboratory practice. You will also be expected to perform literature searches and to evaluate data and present results in written form. The position  is temporary for 12 months.

Your profile

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a master education in toxicology or a related field. Experience of ICP-MS analysis and Franz diffusion cell experiments is required. Knowledge on reconstructed human skin models is an advantage. Organizational and communication skills are highly important, good written English skills are required. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities such as communication and social skills and the ability to aquire new skillls and knowledge.
