Do you want to contribute to top quality medical research?

Patients with ulcerative colitis have a higher risk of colorectal cancer, although the underlying mechanisms are largely unknown. This project will be based on a research platform of a case-cohort study on colorectal cancer among ulcerative colitis patients. The aim is to explore whether specific bacterial species are associated with more severe inflammation, and in turn lead to the development of colorectal cancer. The project might help improve a colorectal cancer risk prediction tool for individualized management of the patients.
