The Genander lab is located at the Karolinska Institutet, Department of Cell and Molecular Biology (CMB) in Stockholm, Sweden. We are interested in understanding stem cell maintenance, lineage specification and differentiation during homeostasis and tumor formation. We use epithelial stem cell niches to understand the link between normal stem cell function and tumor initiation and development.
The Genander lab is looking for a talented and motivated Research Assistant to join the team. We are interested in defining mechanisms regulating epithelial stem cells during tissue homeostasis and regeneration. The current project will be centered around functional stem cell heterogeneity in the esophagus.
The candidate is expected to work independently and generate reproducible data. The candidate will be part of a team addressing similar research questions. The project depends on establishment and manipulation of primary esophageal organoids as well as esophageal tissue analysis using immunofluorescence and RNA-Scope. The working language is English.
