Do you want to contribute to better health for all?

In our research group, led by Professor Andreas Olsson, you will work together with an interdisciplinary research team aiming to understand learning and regulation of emotions in social situations. We offer an engaging and international research environment where you will have the opportunity to contribute to high quality research at international top level. The group currently consists of 14 people. For more info about our research, and recent publications, please see our web-site.

Your mission

The candidate will use behavioral, psychophysiological and fMRI methods, working closely with both the research group headed by professor Andreas Olsson, an expert on emotional learning and regulation in social situations, and Dr. Sabina Cehajic-Clancy, an expert on prosocial regulation of intergroup relations. The candidate will primarily be placed at KI with access to a fully equipped psychophysiology laboratory, and brain imaging centers at the KI and Stockholm University. The candidate will be involved in the design and implementation of experiments, analyses and dissemination of the results. The position will also involve career development mentorship, advising students, and project grant applications. We hope that the candidate will be able to start during spring/summer.

Research groups

The lab facilities include three interconnected testing rooms fully equipped for behavioral and psychophysiological measures. The group has access to brain imaging centers at the KI and Stockholm University. The Emotion Lab is part of a larger network of researchers with interest in cognitive and computational neuroscience and collaborates with several research groups in Europe and the United States. In addition, the candidate will have access to a prominent international research network working in the field of conflict resolution and intergroup reconciliation and unique study populations in post(conflict) environments brought by Dr. Sabina Cehajic-Clancy.
