Projects, POTION and EXPERIENCE
This opening is for a research assistant position working with the EU projects “Promoting social interaction through emotional body odours” (POTION) and “The ‘Extended-Personal Reality’: augmented recording and transmission of virtual senses through artificial-IntelligENCE" (EXPERIENCE). Both projects have received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. POTION proposes a novel technological paradigm to delve deeper into understanding meaningful social interaction, combining new knowledge about the chemical composition of human social chemosignals together with a novel olfactory-based technology designed to drive social behaviour. EXPERIENCE’s aim is to create a new Extended-Personal Reality, allowing users to create their own virtual reality (VR) environments, embedded with virtual simulations that elicit unique psychological, cognitive, neurophysiological and behavioural responses. Our role is to explore and evaluate the possibility of using Extended Personal Reality as a diagnostic and therapeutic tool for mental disorders.
