Petter Brodin research lab and SciLifeLab National facility for Mass cytometry
The Brodin lab is a multidisciplinary laboratory investigating human immune system variation and development early in life. The team develops cutting edge technologies for systems-level analyses and apply these to the studies of immune system development in young children and throughout childhood as well as the study of immune dysregulation in the context of disease. The group is half experimental and half computational and our work is cross-disciplinary in nature. The team also manages the SciLifeLab National Mass cytometry facility, a infrastructure resource providing analysis support to the entire Swedish research community.
The purpose of this position is to support the Brodin research group and the National facility with project coordination and administrative tasks. In particular, coordinating research projects, managing legal agreements and ethical permits, grant writing and reporting and coordination of grant proposals and collaborative research projects which the team participates in. Administrating travels, booking meetings are other key aspects. We are looking for someone who likes to be a part of the research team, not only deliver administrative support. We hope to find an individual who enjoys reading and writing scientific articles and who enjoys research communication, someone who will also take responsibility for the team website and various science outreach activities related to the work performed in the group and facility. The group participates in several large international networks and the role of the coordinator will be to manage these and be a contact person towards these. The position will be based at SciLifeLab campus located on Tomtebodavägen 23A, Solna and Karolinska Institutet campus.
The successful candidate must have a university education and an advanced degree as well as documented experience of administrative work. Good organizational skills and talent in work coordination. Very good communicative skills in Swedish and English is important. Strong emphasis is put on personal qualities such as analytical ability, flexibility, being service-minded and have a collaborative mindset and openness to working with people of very diverse backgrounds and expertise. Interest and experience with data analysis, data visualization, graphical design is a strong advantage but not a necessary skill.
