Do you want to contribute to improving human health?

This is an opportunity to work on an interesting project with a motivated and supportive mid-career research who is internationally recognized in the field. You will be part of a diverse research team that includes PhD students, researchers, and statisticians. This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to increase their scientific publications.

Your mission

We have recently completed a pilot study comparing the effects of yoga and aerobic exercise on physical/mental health among older adults (>65 years). You will be required to enter participant data into an appropriate database (about 2 months’ work) and analyze data and write at least two scientific articles for publication under limited supervision. We therefore require someone with a background in public health research, statistics or psychology who can work independently with data and has experience writing scientific papers. As the participant questionnaires are written in Swedish you also need to read Swedish comfortably.

We require a research assistant that will work 50% for 12 months. It may be possible to negotiate a shorter full-time position.

Your profile

To be eligible for the position, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Master’s degree/PhD in public health science, statistics, psychology or exercise science
  • More than two years’ experience working with complex data sets and analyzing data using SPSS/Stata/SAS
  • Fluent in English and able to read and understand Swedish
  • At least one first author publication in a scientific journal
