About us
The Clinical Genomics unit is a national research infrastructure at the Science for Life Laboratory (SciLifeLab). Our mission is to contribute to the implementation of precision diagnostics and precision medicine in Sweden. Together with researchers and healthcare providers in Sweden, we perform advanced genomics analyses (large-scale DNA sequencing) and work to develop and implement the advanced tests in healthcare. The aim is to facilitate world-leading research and to ensure that diagnostics in Sweden are at the cutting edge, internationally. We also have a broad Nordic and European network of partners and participate in several joint projects.

We are looking for a research engineer, to work with analysing samples, and to improve and develop our laboratory processes. It is possible to adapt the job based on your competencies and areas of interest.
The role includes:
Our team consists of about 35 employees with broad expertise in genomics, bioinformatics, software development, IT and quality assurance. We have a technical infrastructure for advanced genomics analysis, which we continuously develop to meet future needs. You will be offered an exciting working environment, with challenging tasks and a high team spirit. We work together to achieve the team's common goals; through advanced genomics analyses, to increase understanding of disease mechanisms and, through healthcare, to contribute to improving people's lives.
We work closely with geneticists, molecular biologists, doctors and other healthcare actors, both at SciLifeLab and at various healthcare providers in Sweden.
We are looking for someone with a degree in life science, e.g. biomedical analyst or degree in biotechnology, biomedicine, molecular biology, biochemistry or equivalent competence.
