Within our research group, EPICCS, you will find a unique opportunity to work closely together with experts in psychiatric diseases, alcohol and drugs, investigation of the effects of preventive measures, and analyses of disease burden. We offer an engaging and international research environment where you may contribute to research that is mainly based on national registers and databases.

Your mission

We are looking for you who want to work with data collection of policy documents and analysis of large registers for comparative studies on inequality in public health and evaluation of policy. The work takes place mainly within the framework of the Global Burden of Disease study (GBD).

The tasks include:

  • Compile and analyze data on inequality in disease burden and risk factors according to model from the GBD study
  • Collect and compile policy data over time
  • Contact international authorities, organizations and researchers for data collection and analysis of disease burden, risk factors and policy changes.

Your profile

The applicant must have a master's degree in public health science or equivalent. The applicant must have documented experience of policy analysis from an international context as well as very good experience of analyzing and compiling large amounts of data. Merit is experience of collaboration with international actors in global health, work with SDG indicators, and analyzes within the GBD study.

The person we are looking for should be strongly engaged in global public health, must have good collaboration and communication skills, very good ability to express themselves in speech and writing in English, and a documented habit of handling statistics programs (SAS, STATA or Python).
