Your mission

A position is available in the group of Prof. Luca Jovine, whose laboratory focuses on molecules involved in egg-sperm interaction at fertilization and structurally related human proteins of biomedical importance.

During the course of the project, the candidate will complete a study on glycoproteins involved in mammalian fertilization that relied on biochemistry/structural biology, cell culture systems and mouse in vitro fertilization.

This position is a short term employment, 3-6 months.

Qualifications

The candidate should have obtained a doctorate or have equivalent scientific competence. Proven hands-on knowledge of protein structure determination by X-ray crystallography as well as the analysis of macromolecular structure is required; moreover, previous experience with fertilization-related research will constitute a significant advantage. The applicant should also have significant experience of manuscript writing and, therefore, excellent command of written English.

Emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
