Within our research group you will find a unique opportunity to work closely together with cutting edge researchers in public health and epidemiology, especially intervention studies. As a research assistant you will be required to assist in writing articles based on existing research material. You will work under the supervision of junior and senior researchers in searching and summarizing relevant literature; summarizing data and presenting them in tables and graphs, discussing their content and drafting scientific articles.
You should have completed a Master level education in Epidemiology and/or Public Health (having discussed a Master thesis counts as achieved education). You are well acquainted with the design and analysis of longitudinal studies. Further, you should have documented interest and experience of public health matters, especially concerning children’s and adolescents’ physical and mental health (e.g. participation in projects in this field). You are fluent in written and spoken English and in scientific writing.
Having a BA education comprising medical subjects is a merit. Likewise, having a deep knowledge and understanding of global health issues ( e.g. community nutrition in low income countries, or global mental health) is also a merit.
