We are looking for an outstanding researcher to work on the Von Hippel Lindau cancer syndrome using comparative proteomics analysis and biochemistry to understand pheochromocytoma pathogenesis. In this project we will generate “molecular encyclopedias” of this tumor in order to understand the molecular principles concerning the origin, progression and subtypes of this syndrome at a previously unprecedented level, using large scale proteomics and biochemistry technologies. Therefore, we seek a Senior Research Specialist with expertise proteomics and biochemistry.

Your mission

This position includes proteomics analyses of mass spec data and the applicant should have a strong background in biochemistry to investigate posttranslational modification such as proline hydroxylation. This position includes the analysis, and development of tools to such as hydroxylation assays, biochemistry, mass spec analysis using LC-MS/MS. The employment as Senior Research Specialist is a permanent position and the employment is focused on research.

Your profile

  • Those eligible for employment as Senior Research Specialist are individuals who have been awarded a PhD or attained equivalent research competence.
  • Preference should be given to those who have postdoctoral research experience for more than 7 years with several first author publication in high impact factor journals.
  • For the position previous experience in hydroxylation analysis is required and additional experience with oxygen-sensitive signaling pathways and post-translational regulation is a strong merit.
  • Previous expertise in mitochondria biology and post-translational regulation is a strong asset.
  • Candidates with undergraduate studies and Doctoral studies in Biology will be preferred, and probed international mobility will be considered an important asset.
