At the Department of Global Public Health, we conduct research, teaching and applied work based on public health science and epidemiology. The research is aimed at analysing health determinants on the population level, and developing and evaluating preventative structural and individualised measures, including legislation and guidelines. The field also includes health economics, health systems research and implementation research. Our activities have a strong international profile, and the Department's researchers are scientific advisers to authorities and other decision-makers on the regional, national and international level. The Department is divided into research groups operating within the fields of global health, public health epidemiology and social medicine with a total of 140 employees. In addition, we have around 80 PhD students. This position is located in the research group Injuries’ Social Aetiology and Consequences (ISAC).

Your mission

The successful applicant will take part in data collection and analysis within injury epidemiology projects aiming at work related injuries. The research assistant will work in an interdisciplinary team and is expected to be involved in the development of research projects, scientific articles and grant applications.

Your profile

The successful applicant must have a master’s degree in Public Health Sciences or other related field of science. He/she must have very good analytical skills, the ability to promptly grasp new ideas and approaches and a high capacity to fulfil his/her responsibilities and assignments. Furthermore, high ability to speak and write in Swedish and English is a prerequisite. Interest and experience of work life- and occupational injury research and qualitative and quantitative methods are meritorious.

The candidate must be able to work independently and have good interpersonal skills. Personal qualities will be particularly taken into account when recruiting.
