The research at the division of Pediatric Oncology is focused on clinical problems and includes clinical research projects, and translational experimental research. The NORDFERTIL Research Lab Stockholm is part of the Childhood Cancer Research Unit and located in the new research lab at BioClinicum. The main research focus of this groups is related to reproductive biology, with special interest in fertility preservation in children subjected to high gonadotoxic treatments.

Your mission

We are looking for a temporary position to work primarily on histological, cell culture as well as RNA sequencing experiments related to male and female gonadal development in humans. This position includes the following duties:

  • Archiving of histological tissue samples
  • Basic and advanced staining methods
  • Processing of fresh and fixed tissue, including embedding procedures
  • Processing single cell as well as bulk RNA sequencing data
  • Excellent knowledge in different basic as well as novel cell and organ culture systems
  • Excellent written and oral communication in English

Your profile

Qualified to be employed as a postdoctor is one who has obtained a doctorate or has equivalent scientific competence. Applicants who have not completed a doctorate at the end of the application period may also apply, provided that all requirements for a completed degree are met before the (intended) date of employment. This must be substantiated by the applicant's main supervisor, director or equivalent.

The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal English communication skills as well as strong experience in reproductive biology, cell culture models, molecular biology, and male gonadal physiology in humans.
