At the Division of Insurance Medicine, Department of Clinical Neuroscience, we study different aspects of sickness absence, health, work and living conditions. Sickness absence affects individuals, health care, insurance organizations, employers, and society. The main focus of the research group MENTE is at the intersection of studies within psychiatric epidemiology and insurance medicine. We offer a stimulating scientific environment as well as a possibility to collaborate with other researchers at the division, in Sweden and abroad.
We are looking for a researcher who will conduct studies within occupational epidemiology and insurance medicine. The work will be conducted in collaboration with other researchers in the group. The researcher will mainly work with study planning, data management and statistical analysis, manuscript writing, and grant applications.
A person is eligible to be appointed Senior Researcher if he or she has been awarded a Degree of Doctor or has achieved the corresponding scientific competence, as well as documented research after publicly defending his or her doctoral thesis corresponding to qualification as Assistant professor.
The successful candidate must have experience of register and epidemiological research. Extra merit is given to applicants with previous experience of research in the areas of occupational epidemiology, insurance medicine or occupational medicine and experience within data management and analysis using, e.g., SAS, STATA, SPSS, or R. Excellent English skills are a requirement. The work involves both independent tasks and close collaboration with others and therefore demands independence and flexibility as well as good teamwork and communication skills. Moreover conscientiousness and capacity for initiative is important.
