In our research group, led by Professor Jan Hillert, you will work with researchers in neuroepidemiology that focus on increasing the understanding of neurological diseases, especially multiple sclerosis (MS), it´s course and consequences, and identifying factors that affect outcomes. The group currently consists of about ten people.

Your mission

We are now looking for a Research Coordinator for epidemiological research using the large datasets that we have access to in the Neuroepidemiology group. This includes the Swedish MS registry as well as other national and international databases. You will be working on research projects relating to various MS outcomes such as disease progression, treatment effects and the impact of socioeconomic factors on MS. These research projects will be conducted within the Neuroepidemiology group as well as part of larger national and international collaborations. The position will also involve supervision of students and postdocs.

Your profile

A PhD in statistics or biostatistics is required. MD will be an advantage. You will be expected to have at least 10 years of experience from working with large databases and patient registries as well as significant knowledge of different statistical and biostatistical analysis methods. Previous experience from working with data from MS patient registries will be highly desirable. Excellent knowledge of English will be required. This position involves many collaborations with colleagues, other research groups and larger consortia and hence the ability to work with others is essential. We stress scientific expertise when assessing applicants.
