The Department is organized in 10 divisions: Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Pediatric Endocrinology, Pediatric Surgery, Neuropediatrics, Pediatric Oncology, Neonatology, Reproductive Endocrinology, Neuropsychiatry (KIND), Reproductive and Perinatal Health. The divisions have separate scientific profiles and vary in size and have several research groups, dealing with both basic and clinical science.

Do you want to contribute to top quality medical research?

We are seeking a highly motivated person for a part-time position as a research assistant within the Center of Neurodevelopmental Disorders at Karolinska Institutet (KIND) in order to help with several research projects on autism and the link between autism and synesthesia in twins. The position includes helping with recruitment, data acquisition and data entry and helping with building up a database. The data acquisition includes both behavioral testing and MR data acquisition (Magnetic Resonance Imaging). For the latter, the research assistant will first take part in a course and then be trained in MR data acquisition by an experienced researcher.

Your mission

Duties include:

- Helping with participant recruitment (via e-mail and phone)

- Helping with booking accommodation and travel for participants

- Helping with data acquisition (brain imaging and behavioral testing) and data entering

Your profile

We are looking for a highly responsible research assistant with enthusiasm for psychiatric research and a motivation for interacting with participants.

The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree, ideally in either neuroscience, psychology, psychiatry, cognitive sciences or linguistics.

Either good English or good Swedish skills and enthusiasm for the research topic are requirements. Being fluent in both English and Swedish and previous research experience not a requirement but highly advantageous.
