It is meriting to have performed pedagogic developmental work and to have given presentations at international educational conferences. It is meriting to have received research grants, especially for projects with educational focus.
Teaching in physiology and/or pharmacology provides an important link between basic science and the clinic. To maintain high-quality teaching of physiology and pharmacology, teachers with genuine and comprehensive knowledge of how our body functions under normal conditions (physiology) and how it responds to pharmacological substances (pharmacology) are required. A university degree related to physiology, pharmacology or medicine is therefore meriting as it guarantees a broad knowledge base on which teaching can be developed with assured clinical relevance.
After an overall assessment of the expertise and merits of the candidates, Karolinska Institutet will judge which of the candidates that have the best potential to contribute to a positive development of the activities at KI.
