At our unit for Intervention and Implementation Research for worker health we are looking for a postdoctor for a temporary position for a period of one year. Our multidisciplinary unit contributes to better health by both conducting research on risk factors for ill health, and on interventions aimed at the prevention of ill health and at the promotion of health at the workplace. We are unique in that we also conduct implementation research promoting the uptake of new knowledge into practice.

Your mission

We are looking for a postdoctor in the area of worker health. You will be working with existing data of a worksite-based study aimed at the prevention of common mental disorders among teachers. The study was conducted among twenty schools in Sweden under 2017-2019 and data-collection has just been completed. We are now looking for a postdoctor to conduct the quantitative data-analyses and to write scientific papers on the collected data. Your duties will include data-cleaning, data-management, advanced statistical analysis and writing both scientific and popular-scientific articles.

Your profile

Qualified to be employed as a postdoctor is one who has obtained a doctorate or has equivalent scientific competence. Applicants who have not completed a doctorate at the end of the application period may also apply, provided that all requirements for a completed degree are met before the (intended) date of employment. This must be substantiated by the applicant's main supervisor, director or equivalent.

We are looking for an independent researcher with a background in behavioral science, public health science or equivalent who has demonstrated experience in the area of worker health. Knowledge of advanced statistical analysis-methods and statistical programs, such as SPSS is necessary. The applicant must also have experience in writing and publishing scientific articles. It is an advantage if the applicant has knowledge on organizational interventions. The applicant must be enthusiastic, precise, self-going, and responsible. Personal fit is important.
