Biomedicum flow cytometry core facility
The Biomedicum flow cytometry core facility (BFC) is a shared resource laboratory that offers a wide range of flow cytometry services. The BFC is under the management of The Department of Microbiology, Tumor and Cell Biology (MTC) at Karolinska Institutet. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art, multi-color (a) cell sorters (one BD Aria Fusion, one BD Aria III and one BD FACSJazz) and (b) analysis instruments (one BD LSRII SORP, one BD FACS Calibur, one FACS Canto II, one FACS Verse and one Beckman Coulter CyAN ADP). The facility offers a wide range of services including training, application support for panel and experiment design, assisted analysis and cell sorting. Located in the recently established Biomedicum building, BFC offers cell sorting in a BSL2 environment and currently serves over 250 users.
