The position is in the Clinical Genetics research group with Professor Richard Rosenquist Brandell as group leader. The group is located in the newly built research facility, Bioclinicum. The group’s research focuses on mapping molecular changes contributing to disease development in haematological malignancies and having prognostic significance for individual patients. The group works closely with Clinical Genetics at Karolinska University Hospital and Science for Life Laboratory. https://ki.se/en/mmk/clinical-genetics

Duties
We aim to recruit a highly motivated molecular biologist with a background in research in molecular genetics who is looking to work in the field of precision medicine and in an international environment. The research projects are focused on large-scale characterization of hematological malignancies and are translational with the possibility to link molecular data to clinical records. You will be responsible for various methods in our laboratory, to perform analysis within ongoing studies and to implement new molecular technologies and applications.

Qualifications
The applicant must have a Master’s degree in molecular biology or similar field. In addition, the following is required:

• Documented experience in research in molecular genetics
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in collaboration with colleagues as well as the ability to document work.
