Department
At the Department of Public Health Sciences we conduct research, teaching and applied work based on public health science and epidemiology. The research is aimed at analysing health determinants on the population level, and developing and evaluating preventative structural and individualised measures, including legislation and guidelines. The field also includes health economics, health systems research and implementation research. Our activities have a strongly international flavour, and the Department's researchers are scientific advisers to authorities and other decision-makers on the regional, national and international level. The Department is divided into research groups operating within the fields of global health, public health epidemiology and social medicine with a total of 150 employees. In addition, we have around 80 research students. This position is located in the EPICCS research group.
Duties
The research coordinator will be responsible for the migration line of research in the research group. This line of research is different aspects of mental health among migrants including refugees.

Entry requirements
To be eligible for the position the successful candidate needs to hold a PhD in psychiatric epidemiology and have experience as PI of research projects focusing on vulnerable populations. The applicant should have experience of population-based register-based studies with a focus of migration and particularly refugee migration and leading other studies with migration and mental health focus. It is considered a merit if the applicant has a background as psychiatrist or is a registered psychologist. It’s a requirement for the applicant to be able to work both independently and in close cooperation with different professional disciplines, and must therefore also have good communication skills in Swedish and English. In addition, great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities such as social skills and the ability to cooperate.
