The Department of Clinical Neuroscience (CNS) conducts research and education in the field of neuroscience from the molecular level to the society level. The clinical research and education is conducted in collaboration with Region Stockholm as well as other research groups from Karolinska Institutet and other universities.

Division
The Stockholm Brain Institute is a network of neuroscientists from the Karolinska Institute (KI), Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and Stockholm University (SU), working collaboratively on projects with public and industrial partners. http://stockholmbrain.se/

StratNeuro (Strategic Research Program in Neuroscience) is a joint program of Karolinska Institutet, Umeå University and Royal Institute of Technology funded by the Swedish Government Strategic Program, “A boost to research and innovation”. StratNeuro focuses on “Cognitive and Motor Functions in Health and Disease during the Lifespan”.

Duties
You will be responsible for the coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of the activities of the Stockholm Brain Institute and StratNeuro and ensuring consistency with our strategy, commitments and goals.

  • Maintain regular interactions with projects and researchers at a scientific level to ensure progress and clear reporting.
  • Prepare reports from contributions from project leaders and researchers; both project status reports and financial reports.
  • Financial reporting to Government, VR/Vinnova and universities. Keep contact with financial administrators at the universities.
  • Work with director and CIO in scouting of potential commercial opportunities.
  • Assist in development and implementation of a course in CNS drug discovery and development.
  • Coordinate/assist in recruitment of PhD students, Post doc students and Senior Researchers.
  • Coordinate/oversee review of grant proposals and recruitments, and organize site visits of the advisory boards
  • Develop and prepare material for internal and external communication including brochures, webpage etc. Maintain calendar, prepare the yearly calendar for all meetings incl. center board meetings, PI-meetings, retreats etc. and make meeting notes and protocols.

Entry requirements

  • Ph.D.with substantial experience
  • Qualification in project management or equivalent
  • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
  • Working knowledge in the science and technologies appropriate for the field
  • Fluency in Swedish and English
