The WHO research group in the department of Women’s and Children’s health is headed by Professor Kristina Gemzell Danielsson. The group’s work on translational medicine in the field of women’s reproductive health covers a wide spectrum of clinical, experimental and global reproductive health. One of the research field the group has worked extensively is the development and clinical application of progesterone receptor modulator in its clinical application. The team on experimental research in the laboratory is led by Associate Professor Lalit Kumar and has a focus on infertility, endometrial function, embryo implantation, endometriosis and prevention of breast cancer.
The successful applicant will employ state-of-the-art bioinformatic techniques adapted to the analyses of single cells, spatial transcriptomics along with RNA seq data derived from Smartseq2 /3.
The position is for 2 years with start in early 2023.
Qualified to be employed as a postdoctoral fellow is one who has obtained a doctorate or has equivalent scientific competence in Bioinformatics with publications in peer reviewed scientific journals. Applicants who have not completed a doctorate at the end of the application period may also apply, provided that all requirements for a completed degree are met before the date of employment. This must be substantiated by the applicant's main supervisor, director or equivalent.
Knowledge in bulk RNA and single cell RNA seq are preferred. Exposure to spatial transcriptome analysis will be added advantage as the project involves analysis of data from Smartseq2/3 and spatial transcriptomics.
