The Department of Biosciences and Nutrition performs research and education in several areas of
medical science including aging, Alzheimer, biomaterial, molecular endocrinology, cancer biology,
functional genomics, systems biology, epigenetics, structural biochemistry, bioorganic chemistry,
immunology, and nutrition. It offers an excellent international research and working environment,
including around 250 scientists, students, administrative and technical personnel. The Department
resides in Neo at Campus Flemingsberg, a biomedical research building, aimed at being a creative and open environment that enables meetings, synergies, and exploration of areas of mutual interest across disciplines.

Your mission

We are looking for a Research Assistant (Forskningsassistent) to Professor Marie Löf’s IMPACT Research group (https://ki.se/en/bionut/the-impact-research-group-marie-lof). The group has ten years of experience in developing mobile phone based (mHealth) interventions focusing on promoting optimal nutrition and physical activity, with special emphasis on pregnant women and young children. Your duties will consist of supporting data collection in ongoing intervention studies in child and maternal health care as well as preschools.  The tasks also include development of intervention material for these target groups.

This position is time-limited for 6 months.

Your profile

For this position a solid background in nutrition or similar is required. Previous experience in data collection on physical activity in children, including preschool aged children, is required. Correspondingly, the candidate should have previous experience from data processing of accelerometry in children. The candidate should have strong communication skills. The ability to interact with young children is essential. We are looking for a research assistant who can work independently and at the same time be a good team player and has good organizational skills. The work requires that you master both Swedish and English fluent in speech and writing.

Emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
