Your mission

You will develop new experimental tools, plan and perform experiments, and analyze data in a multi-disciplinary team working in the intersection of immunology, neuroscience and engineering.

Your profile

You have a PhD in experimental medicine, neuroscience, immunology or similar with extensive experience of machine-nerve interfaces in vivo in mice and track record of publications in inflammation neuroscience. You are highly skilled in standard methodology in immunology, neuroscience, molecular biology and genetic mouse models, and have FELASA certification for animal work. Your have a great, well-documented track record of meticulous experimental planning, recording of data, and reproducibility of experiments in vivo and in vitro. You have a strong passion for high-quality scientific work and an ability to be productive with great integrity working both independently and in teams. Excellent knowledge of bioelectronic medicine in experimental and clinical settings is required. International experience from different laboratory settings, multi-cultural environments, and experience from the bioelectronic medicine industry are important.

 The primary language in the lab is English and you are expected to be fluent in written and spoken English. Team work and problem-solving skills are essential as is a passion for cross-disciplinary science of high quality

Qualified to be employed as a postdoctor is one who has obtained a doctorate or has equivalent scientific competence. Applicants who have not completed a doctorate at the end of the application period may also apply, provided that all requirements for a completed degree are met before the (intended) date of employment. This must be substantiated by the applicant's main supervisor, director or equivalent.

Location

The position is located within the Department of Medicine, Solna. The department consists of twelve divisions and each division consists of several research groups. The position is located within the research group Olofsson within the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine. The research focus is neural regulation of inflammation and cardiovascular disease.
