We invite applications for Lab manager in the Arenas laboratory. The position will be placed in the Division of Molecular Neurobiology, a cluster of 7 research groups forming a vibrant, international and dynamic research environment. Our lab is part of the MBB department located in the New Biomedicum building, one of the most modern research centers in Northern Europe. Your mission
We look for a motivated person with interest in interacting and managing a dynamic group of about 15 researchers form multiple nationalities working in the area of brain development, single cell biology, regenerative medicine and Parkinson’s disease.

The successful candidate will work with diverse administrative, organizational and research activities of the Arenas lab and will interact and collaborate with the lab mangers of the other 6 research groups within the division of Molecular Neurobiology (MBB).

The tasks of the lab manager include:

  • Help managing the agenda of the PI
  • Assist in coordinating research consortia,
  • Assist in writing grant reports and ethical permits
  • Purchases of products (Agresso), chemical inventory (Klara) and equipment
  • Work with issues related to environment, biosafety and risk assessments
  • Organization of common lab stocks, lab routines and introduction of new researchers.
  • Help with experimental work

Your profile
You are a Postdoc, a PhD or a Lab manager with several years of research and organization experience. You have a very good command of written and spoken Swedish and English. You have experience in working with diverse lab methods, computer platforms and programs and you are eager to learn more. You are a team player, you like to communicate, you have sense of responsibility, initiative, capacity to anticipate and solve daily challenges, you are service minded and you would like to contribute to the success of a research team.
