We are looking for a candidate from the field biology or biotechnology who wish to come and support our team.

Your mission

The postdoctoral researcher will be involved in projects requiring broad methodological skills – e.g. cell culture experiments including three dimensional skin equivalents, isolation and culture of T cells from lesional skin, CRISPR/Cas modification of primary human cells, neutrophil granulocyte migration and stimulation experiments; RNAsequencing, spatial and single cell sequencing; Real-time PCR, flow cytometry including sorting; immunohistochemistry and confocal microscopy; murine experiments including assessment of murine skin. Statistical analysis and discussion with bioinformaticians. Assist in grant and application writing.

Your profile

Previous experience in the above mentioned methods is desirable. Bio-computational experience would upvalue the candidate for this position.

Qualified to be employed as a postdoctor is one who has obtained a doctorate or has equivalent scientific competence. Applicants who have not completed a doctorate at the end of the application period may also apply, provided that all requirements for a completed degree are met before the (intended) date of employment. This must be substantiated by the applicant's main supervisor, director or equivalent.

Location

The position is located within the Department of Medicine, Solna. The department consists of twelve divisions and each division consists of several research groups. The position is located within the dermatology division and Dr Kilian Eyerich group. The group is interested in interaction of lymphocytes and epithelial cells in inflammatory skin diseases. In particular, there are three foci: reclassifying inflammatory skin diseases based on pathogenesis, molecular diagnostics of inflammatory skin diseases, and studying early events of inflammatory skin diseases.
