At the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology we teach and conduct internationally acclaimed, high-quality research in Physiology, Pharmacology, Anesthesiology and Intensive care. We have around 400 employees, 30 research groups, and 90 doctoral students. Division
Laboratory of Skeletal Physiology is working on different aspects of cartilage and bone physiology from evolutionary and developmental biology prospective to physiology and pathology. Currently we are particularly focused on epiphyseal cartilage and mechanisms of its maintenance and looking for a candidate to pursue ongoing projects in these directions on part-time, 25% until 2019-12-31.

Duties
The candidate is expected to run experiments with genetically-modified mice, perform lineage genetic tracing, plan experiments and analyze the obtained data. The candidate is also expected to write research grants and draft manuscripts is another requirement and we therefore see that the candidate has very good writing skills.

Entry requirements
Qualified to be employed as a postdoctoral fellow is one who has obtained a doctorate or has equivalent scientific competence.

Other requirements
Extensive documented methodological and theoretical experience in the cartilage field as well as in developmental biology is required. We seek a candidate with experience within techniques such as mouse genetics (including FELASA certificate), confocal microscopy, image analyzing software, lineage genetic tracing, ex vivo culturing of bone cells and tissues.
