Clinical research and basic science studies focusing on safety and efficacy of fertility preservation and reproductive health are being conducted at the Laboratory of Translational Fertility Preservation in the group of Professor Kenny Rodriguez-Wallberg from the Department of Oncology Pathology, Karolinska Institutet. The Team is mainly dedicated to Reproductive Oncology (Oncofertility) and reproductive outcomes of cancer survivors, but it also does research on assisted reproduction technologies across all causes and treatments of infertility. As a Research Assistant you will play a key role in our clinical studies at the forefront of current research, in close collaboration with clinical scientists.

Description of the subject area

We are focusing on fertility preservation, especially through translational studies aiming at improving fertility preservation methodology. There is a specific focus on tissue cryopreservation and in vitro follicle culture and maturation.

Your mission

The group is now recruiting a Research Assistant who will work in close collaboration with both clinicians and the rest of our team on the development of our in vitro methodology.

Your profile

Qualification:

To be eligible for employment as a Research Assistant for this project, the applicant must have knowledge in and documented experience of methods in clinical embryology and assisted reproduction technologies.

Merits:

  • Previous clinical experience in assisted reproduction technologies
  • Previous experimental experience, specifically from tissue cryopreservation, follicle isolation, organoid models and in vitro cell culturing.
  • High ability to deal with multiple projects simultaneously, solve problems independently, and interact well with group members.
  • Previous experience in clinical research.
