Your mission

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated research technician to join our cell-mediated immunity team. You are expected to work closely together with scientists Yu Gao and Assistant Professor Marcus Buggert. The work will involve taking care of peripheral blood and tissue samples from Covid-19 vaccinated and infected patients as well as patients undergoing surgery. You will prepare samples for direct analysis and for biobanking for future research. You may also become directly involved in specific research projects, when assistance is needed.

Your profile

The applicant should have at least a Bachelor’s degree in biomedicine or similar qualifications. You should have extensive documented experience in taking care of peripheral blood from patients as well as the preparation of those for samples for direct analysis and for biobanking for future research. You should furthermore have extensive experience in working with tissue samples from humans, including experience from working in BSL-2 or BSL-3 laboratories. For the current position, characteristics such as ability to cooperate, availability, flexibility and ability to work with the relevant group are especially valued. Good Swedish is a merit, but not a requirement.
